Slip-Trailed Butter Dish

Two pieces: a base with a lip to catch crumbs and a domed lid with a rolled handle. The lid is decorated freehand with a slip trailer — think icing a cake — in loose loops that no two dishes share.

A honey-toned glaze over the top warms the white slip to cream. Keeps a block of butter spreadable on the counter.
