Pots for the days
you don't think about them.

Rowan & Slip is a one-potter studio making stoneware and porcelain for real kitchens — plates that stack, mugs that hold a proper cup of tea, jugs worth leaving on the table.

Every piece is thrown, trimmed, glazed and fired by hand — usually mine, sometimes my apprentice's. Small batches, honest materials, and glazes mixed from raw powders on the studio bench.

The studio

A former glove factory, a shared kiln, and a lot of bracken

Eight years on it's a proper workshop — still small, still mostly me, and once a year everything stops for the wood firing we share with three other makers up the valley.

Commissions & wholesale

Wedding registries, restaurant tableware, a replacement for the mug you loved and dropped — I take on a handful of custom projects each season, and stock a small number of shops. Tell me what you have in mind.
